Bertena "Teena" Prior

Bertena (Teena) Margaret Dodge Prior, 92, of Wallingford, departed this life on Monday, June 30, 2014 at the MidState Medical Center in Meriden. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Joseph Prior.
Teena was born on October 30, 1921, in Berlin, VT, a daughter of the late Clarence and Myrtle (Woodworth)Dodge. She was raised on the family farm and had attended Spaulding High School in Barre, VT. She later attended Goddard College, a progressive liberal arts college in rural Vermont, where she enjoyed performing in theater productions. She married Robert in 1948. She retired from the former Union Trust bank after seventeen years to enjoy her home and gardens. Her pasttimes included reading and embroidery. While in her seventies, she wasn't afraid to "climb the pine" if a branch needed trimming.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Robert Prior and his wife Maureen of Bristol and Linda Prior of North Stonington; her granddaughter: Caitlin Prior of Bristol; many nieces, nephews and grandnieces.
Friends may call on Saturday, July 26th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford.
