Carol Ann Vaspasiano

WALLINGFORD - Carol Ann Vaspasiano, 66, of Wallingford, departed this life on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford surrounded by her loving family.
Carol was born on December 9, 1948, Nanticoke, PA daughter of the Martha (Sudick) Baran and the late Andrew Baran. She graduated with her degree in nursing in 1968 from Geisinger Nursing School in Danville, PA. She was employed as the Director of Nursing at New Haven Convalescent Center and later retired from Yale New Haven Hospital having worked over 30 years as a Registered Nurse. In her spare time she was an avid reader and cook. The most important accomplishment in her life was her love of family and friends.
She will be held in the hearts of children: Karyn O'Beirn and her husband Joseph of Clinton, Tracy Dudley and her husband Jonathan of Portland, and James Vaspasiano and his wife Amy of Sebastopol, CA. Carol also leaves her mother Martha Baran of Wallingford and her brother Robert Baran and his wife Kim of OH along with two granddaughters, Saoirse O'Beirn and Vietta Vaspasiano and one nephew: Robert Baran of NY, and one niece Kelly Baran of OH and many extended family.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, May 8th from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 9th at 12:30 PM at the Church of the Resurrection in Wallingford. Those attending the Mass should meet directly at the Church. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
