WALLINGFORD - Cheryl R. Spivak, 66, of Wallingford, beloved wife of S. Joel Spivak, departed this life on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the Yale New Haven Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Cheryl was born on June 7, 1946 in New Haven daughter of the late Jacob and Teresa Jaffe. She was employed as an Accounting Representative for Revere Corporation and later retired from Pro-Power Marketing. Cheryl loved following fashion. She loved everyone and was especially fond of animals, especially her beloved cat Serena.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Joel of Wallingford, her sister, Darlene Andersen and her husband James of Hamden, her sister-in-law Shelia Mushin and her husband Allen of Orange, brother-in-law David Spivak of North Guilford and her special friend Rhonda Feniolo of Wallingford. Cheryl also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 24th at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Resurrection in Wallingford. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The B. C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with arrangements.
