Eleanor Drost Tribute
WALLINGFORD- Eleanor C. Drost, 88, passed away peacefully at Midstate Medical Center on April 11, 2016. She was the beloved wife of 43 years of Robert V. Drost.
Eleanor was born on March 26, 1928 to the late Roland and Velma Chapman in Presque Isle, ME. After retirement, Eleanor enjoyed spending all of her free time with her family, and especially enjoying the title of "Great-great-grandmother."
Beside her spouse, Eleanor will be sadly missed by her daughter Donna (Joel) Files of Wallingford; her two sons Gary (Mary) Doolittle of Meriden, and Robert (Rhonda) Doolittle of Wallingford. Eleanor will also be missed by her 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She is survived by her sister Juanita (Sebastian) Pestretto of Simsbury, and her cousin Janice McSwyny of Wolcott. Beside her parents, Eleanor was predeceased by a young child Richard Doolittle.
Family and friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the B.C Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street Wallingford, CT. A funeral service will be held for Eleanor at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016, at the First Congregational Church, 23 South Main Street in Wallingford, CT.
