Elizabeth "Betty" Oppelt

CHESHIRE - Elizabeth (Betty) O. Oppelt, 105, of Elim Park, formerly of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2016 at Elim Park in Cheshire. She was the wife of the late Ernest Oppelt.
Betty was born Meriden, December 31, 1910 a daughter of the late Charles and Clara Johnson Olson.
Until her retirement, she was secretary at the First Baptist Church of Wallingford. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wallingford.
She is survived by a son, Thomas Oppelt, a daughter, Jean Taylor both of Wallingford and 4 grandchildren, Bobbi Jean Taylor, Cameron Taylor, Tom and Todd Oppelt. She was predeceased by 3 sisters, Alice Mottram, Lillian Liedke and Mabel Madigan.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Wallingford, 114 North Main St., Wallingford. Burial will be private. Friends may call at the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
