Frances Gilmore Tribute
MERIDEN - Frances Gilmore, 89, formerly of Wallingford and Spring Hill, FL, departed this life on June 23, 2014 at the Bradley Home in Meriden. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph Gilmore.
Fran was born in Waterbury on February 3, 1925, daughter of the late Carmon and Agnes (Butler) Mangle.
Until her retirement, she was an inspector for General Motors, Inc. (New Departures).
She will be sadly missed by her sons: Robert Hourigan and his wife Ellen of Wallingford, John R. (Jack) Hourigan, Jr. and his wife Marian of Cheshire, Scott Gilmore and his wife Denise of Wallingford; her grandchildren: Patrick and Ryan Gilmore, Robin Hettrick, Jay Hourigan, Tamara Beth Laplante, and Stacia Doyle; and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Arnold Mangle and her great granddaughter, Brielle Laplante.
A mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, June 26th at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Resurrection in Wallingford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9 AM from the funeral home when the funeral cortege will proceed at 10:00 AM to the Church of the Resurrection where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM.
