George Harry Bulyk

WALLINGFORD - George H. Bulyk, 94, of Wallingford and formerly of the Bridgeport-Fairfield area, beloved husband of the late Helen (Bradetich) Bulyk, departed this life on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Mid-State Medical Center.
George was born on January 23, 1920 in New York, NY son of the late Michael and Nellie (Muzyka) Bulyk. He served during World War II in the Army Signal Corps, and later retired as a Major in the Army Reserves. He worked most of his career as the CEO of numerous Credit Unions including The Electric Boat Federal Employees Credit Union, Perkin Elmer Credit Union, and Martin Marietta Credit Union. In his spare time he enjoyed reading and cooking.
He is survived by his Daughter: Eleanor Carbonaro and her husband J. Arthur of Canterbury along with four grandchildren: Tracie Sneed and her husband Clayton of Sterling, David Brockett and his wife Sharon of Manchester, Douglas Brockett and his wife Suzanne of Sterling, and Susan Gebo and her partner Andrew Romagnoli of Wethersfield. George also leaves nine great grandchildren: Daniel, Michael, John, Alicia, Alexander, Eiland, Bennett, Analiese, and Evaleigh, along with a nephew, John C. Bulyk of Madison and several other nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a brother John Bulyk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM at SS. Peter and Paul's Church, 139 North Orchard Street, Wallingford. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, November 22nd from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM in the Knapp Auditorium at Ashlar Village in Wallingford. Interment will take place privately at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull. Memorial contributions may be directed to: The Masonic Charity Foundation, P.O. Box 71, Wallingford, CT 06492. The B. C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with arrangements.
