OCALA, FL - Geraldine Janauskas (Geri) (GiGi), 77, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Wallingford, passed away peacefully surrounded with the love of her family, July 27, 2014 at The Legacy House Hospice. She was the beloved wife of Robert for 55 years. Geri was born on October 14, 1936 in Shenandoah, PA the daughter of the late Edward and Blanche (Nedinsky) Kuklis.
She was employed at Cuno Engineering in Meriden for several years. Later she worked in the administration department at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford and retired in 1987. After 33 years of employment at Pratt & Whitney, Robert retired and they relocated in Ocala, FL.
Geri leaves to cherish her memory; son Steven Janauskas and wife Michelle of Cromwell, daughter Linda Dietrich and husband Paul of Middlefield, daughter Carol Massey and husband Daniel of Cromwell, four grandchildren; Paul Dietrich and wife Shannon of Durham, Danielle Janauskas of Boston and her mom Michelle Grant of Moodus and Alex and Austin Massey, and two great grandchildren; Avery and Brayden Dietrich, and lifelong friend, Joanie Wallace and husband Joe of PA. Geri also leaves behind a sister, nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, and many cousins in both CT and PA.
All services are private with entombment will be in St. John's Cemetery Columbarium in Wallingford.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made in her memory to The Legacy House, 9505 SW 110th Street, Ocala FL, 34481. The B. C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with arrangements.
