Helen M. Gentile

WALLINGFORD - Helen M. Gentile, 86, of Wallingford, beloved wife of the late Alphonse "Sarge" Gentile, departed this life on Monday, October 1, 2012 at her home.
Helen was born on May 22, 1926 in Proctor, VT daughter of the late Charles and Barbara (Smith) Hulicki. She retired after years of working for SNET in Wallingford. Her greatest accomplishment was that of a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In her spare time she enjoyed sports, playing cards and scrabble, bowling, cooking, baking, and trips to Mohegan Sun. She was also an avid Red Sox fan.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Donna Gentile of Wallingford, Angela Hamilton of Wallingford, and Victoria Garden and her husband James of Norwich. She also leaves two sister-in-laws: Mary and Rose Hulicki both of Wallingford. She leaves two beloved grandchildren: Lyndsey Hamilton and her husband Daniel Simmonds of NY, and Jason Sheehan and his wife Glorvina Constant of Branford along with four great grandchildren: Raleigh, Jameson, Bernadette, and Dorothy along with her extended family. She is preceeded in death by her daughter Annette Gentile and three brothers: Frank, Felix and John Hulicki and her sister, Marie Casale.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 4 - 7 PM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 10 AM at Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford; those attending the Mass are asked to meet directly at church. Interment will follow in Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
