Herbert Fraas Tribute
WALLINGFORD - Herbert G. Fraas, 87, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2017, at the Skyview Center in Wallingford. He was the beloved husband of the late Florence (Henderson) Fraas.
Herbert was born in New Haven on March 10, 1929 to the late George and Anna (Degelmann) Fraas.
He is survived by his son Stephan Fraas, his wife Kathryn of Meriden, their daughter Kyla Rochford, and daughter Gayle Fraas and her husband Duncan Slade of Boothbay, ME.
Herbert was a graduate of Cheshire Academy and attended Champlain College, Plattsburgh, NY. He was employed by Winchester Western/Olin, for over 35 years, where he worked in product development and was a member of the Winchester Skeet and Trap Teams. A former lifeguard, Herb was a life-long swimmer and an avid fisherman. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Wallingford.
Friends and visitors may call upon the family on Thursday, January 26th from 6:00 to 6:45 PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford.
