Lucien Parenteau Tribute
MERIDEN - Lucien Parenteau, 88, of Meriden, beloved husband of 63 years to Simone (Blair) Parenteau, entered into Eternal Life surrounded by his loving family on June 1, 2014 at his home.
Lucien was born on November 7, 1925 in Beebe, VT son of the late Alzear and Clara (Laroche) Parenteau. He retired as a machinist in 1988 from Pratt & Whitney in North Haven.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons: George Parenteau and his wife Fran of Wallingford, Robert Parenteau and his wife Doris of CA, Claude Parenteau and his wife Pat of CA; and his daughters: Marie Parenteau of Meriden, and Mariette Riss and husband Robert of Meriden. Lucien also leaves his beloved grandchildren: Keith Bouchard, Michael Parenteau, Mark Riss, Amy Parenteau, Shelley Riss-Conant, Karyn Parenteau, Sarah Parenteau, and Wyatt Parenteau in addition to many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He also leaves a sister Jeanette Parenteau of Magog, Quebec. He is preceded in death by his brothers: Theo Parenteau and wife Cecile, Irene Parenteau, and his sister Odila Goudreau and her husband Leo.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Laurent's Church, 121 Camp Street, Meriden, CT. Interment will follow in St. Laurent's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington D.C. 20090-6011. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with arrangements.
