Marie Bozzi Tribute
Marie Therese Reiske Bozzi, of Ashlar Village in Wallingford, died peacefully on November 2, 2016 at Masonicare in Wallingford, after a brief illness.
Marie was born in Meriden on January 6, 1928 to the late Frank Reiske and the late Matilda Hentz Reiske of Wallingford.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. George L. Bozzi of Wallingford.
Except for four years in Baltimore, Maryland, Marie was a lifelong resident of Wallingford. She was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School and of Saint Joseph College in West Hartford, Connecticut. After her graduation from Saint Joseph College, she was a primary school teacher at Washington Street School in Wallingford, and in the Baltimore school system, until she left teaching to raise her family. She was a lifelong parishioner of Holy Trinity Church.
Marie is survived by her son Dr. George L. Bozzi, Jr. and his wife Debra Marr Bozzi, and their sons Jevon Bozzi and Conor Bozzi, and Jevon's wife Sarah Taft Bozzi; by her daughter Katherine Bozzi and her husband Charles Couch; by her son Attorney John Bozzi and his wife Dr. Catharine Arnold, and their sons Aaron Bozzi and Michael Bozzi, and Aaron's wife Sarah Farron and Michael's fianceĢe Debra Gilbert; by her daughter Patricia Bozzi and her sons Markandeya Pronk and Sanandana Pronk; by her daughter Caroline Bozzi-Harrison and her husband Norman Harrison; and by her son David Bozzi.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Marie was predeceased by her sister, Sister Monica Marie Reiske (Cecelia Reiske); her brother, Raymond Reiske; her sister, Evelyn Reiske; and her brother, Robert Reiske.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford. Interment will follow at the In Memoriam Cemetery.
