Pamela Woolley Tribute

WALLINGFORD - Pamela G. Woolley (Silano), 68. Pamela lost her courageous battle with cancer on January 24, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Pam was born August 6, 1947 in Lafayette, Indiana. Pam lived a vibrant life much like the colorful Fiesta dishware she loved collecting. Her world was her four children who she cherished. She cared deeply for her close friends near and far. She was loved by friends from all over the country through Fiesta collecting and quilting. Pam was extremely creative and made beautiful quilts and crafts. In her younger years she was an equestrian competitor and adored her horses Freckles, Ricky, and Bubbles. Her love for horses was a life-long passion which was evident when she gave updates if a famous race horse delivered a new foal with wobbly legs, and she dreamed of rescuing horses. In fact, Pam was an animal lover of all shapes and sizes and loved her cat Judy and animal grandchildren. Pam enjoyed the simple things in life such as a New York Times crossword, Jeopardy, cooking a comforting meal, or buying some unique postage stamps. Pam was born in Indiana, and lived in Massachusetts, Ohio, and Connecticut, but home was Northfield, Vermont. In fact she loved everything about New England.
Pam was an eloquent writer and very intelligent woman and had many fulfilling jobs. She worked in Special Education at Harwinton Consolidated School and Har-Bur Middle School, was an editor and writer for Weekly Reader, a country western clothing model, free-lance writer for the radio station 92.5 where she enthusiastically interviewed some country music stars, and also worked as a mortgage underwriter. Pam's talent for storytelling, nurturing demeanor, love for holidays, warming smile, thoughtfulness, sense of humor, and kindness will be greatly missed. She was pre-deceased by Father Jack Woolley and mother Doris Woolley. Pam leaves behind a brother Christopher Woolley and sister-in-law Ann of Seattle, WA. She had four children whom she loved dearly with John Silano Sr.: Son John Silano Jr. and daughter-in-law Sarah of Somerville, MA, Son Benjamin Silano of New Hartford, CT, Daughter Katherine Silano-Campanelli and son-in-law Brian Campanelli of Wallingford, CT, and daughter Jill Silano of Manchester, NH. Pam had three grandchildren Derek, Benjamin, and Addison, and nephew Michael Woolley and niece Amelia Woolley. A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 29 at B.C. Bailey Funeral Home 273 South Elm Street Wallingford, CT. Feel free to wear cheerful colors to honor Pam. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pam Woolley memorial fund at: http://pamwoolleymemorialfund.mydagsite.com/
