Rudolph Stacey Tribute
WALLINGFORD - Rudolph Edward Stacey, 94, died peacefully at his home on Friday, January 2, 2015. He, and his loving wife Corinne (Milone), were together for over 70 years, sharing their love of family, Cape Cod, fishing, photography, travel, skiing and golf.
Rudolph was born on May 18, 1920, in Wallingford, son of the late Anthony and Katherine (Zienkiewicz) Stasielowicz. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed by International Silver for over forty years. He had been a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church.
Rudy always had time for family, a loving and patient father to his daughter, Claudia Anderson of
Wallingford and his son, Paul E. Stacey and his wife Carol of East Hampton. With his wife Corinne, he spent many hours creating adventures for his granddaughters Michelle and Christina during summer visits. Michelle is the wife of Stuart Boyd of Germany and Christina the wife of Greg Bjork of Maine. His great grandchild Jack Boyd always brought him a smile during holiday visits. Rudy has two nephews, Brian and Terry, sons of his late sister, Sophie "Pat" Rock of Bristol.
The family is especially grateful to Nayra Kumornu who provided loving and attentive home care in
recent years along with numerous other health care personnel who kept him comfortable in his home to the end.
His cat Tiger was his constant companion, bringing him much joy and comfort in his final years. It was Rudy's wish that memorial contributions be directed to Animal Friends of Connecticut, PO Box 370306, West Hartford, CT 06137-0306.
A private graveside service was held at St. John Cemetery, Wallingford. To leave a message of
