WALLINGFORD - Tara E. McGuire Smalley, 58, of Wallingford, beloved wife of the late Stephen D. Smalley Sr., departed this life on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Masonic Hospice surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Tara was born on March 26, 1957 in New Haven, daughter of the late Dennis and Mary (Kehoe) McGuire. She was a graduate of the class of 1975 from Sacred Heart Academy. Tara was an avid NY Yankees fan.
She will be greatly missed by her children: Stephen D. Smalley Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Meriden, and Kelly Smalley of Wallingford. Tara also leaves her sisters: Dorothy Donarum and her husband John of Hamden, and Denise Benson of Hamden along with two beloved grandchildren: Maddox and Violet Smalley and 8 nephews and a niece.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, June 11th from 4 - 8 PM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 12th at 10 AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wallingford. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
