Rose M. (Maisano) Griesing

Rose M. Griesing, 90, peacefully departed this life on March 25, 2024 at Masonic Healthcare. She was the beloved wife of the late Howard Griesing. Rose was born in New Haven, CT on May 28, 1933 to the late John and Concetta (Cavagnuolo) Maisano, and resided on Exchange street in New Haven before becoming a long time resident of Wallingford and active parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Rose was employed as a bookkeeper for multiple employers before retiring at Masonic Hospital after many years of service in the medical clinic.

Rose took great joy in watching her children and grandchildren grow and spending time with family and friends.  It was impossible to visit Rhey Ave and leave feeling hungry.

Rose is survived by her son Curtiss Griesing (Kathy) of Wallingford; her daughter Adria (Richard) of Southington; a sister, Tillie Scafariello of North Haven; 5 grandchildren: Hilary, Alyssa, Kiara, Caitlyn, Kelsi; and great grandchildren: Graham, Nolan and Ellis, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.  Besides her parents and her husband, Rose is predeceased by her brother Mike Maisano. 

A memorial mass of christian burial will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024 at 10:3o AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wallingford. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday morning prior to the mass from 9 AM to 10 AM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home.
