Anna M. Kruse

WALLINGFORD - Anna Kruse, 92, of Wallingford departed this life on September 14, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Kruse.

Anna was born in New Haven, CT on March 2, 1931 to Michael Schoff, Sr., and Anna (Holzmann) Schoff. After Anna graduated from Lyman Hall High School in 1949, she earned her BA from Connecticut State Teachers College in 1953 and her MA from the University of Hartford in 1957.  After college, Anna returned to Wallingford to teach Chemistry at Lyman Hall, where she would receive numerous awards and accolades before retiring in 1988 to pursue her other love, horses.

Anna’s passion project, Circle K Farms, opened in 1995.  Owning a horse boarding facility had been Anna’s dream, and at times, the facility housed over twenty horses.

Anna is survived by her brother Michael “Bud” Schoff, Jr., two nephews and one grand-nephew.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at St. Francis Cabrini Church, 57 Pond Hill Road, North Haven.  Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery located at 289 Arch Road in Avon.  Family and friends may call on Monday, September 25, 2023, from 5:30-7:30 PM at the B.C.
