BRISTOL - Annette Eva (Gaumond) Murphy, 86, passed Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Ingraham Manor, joining the love of her life, husband, Francis Murphy Jr. With whom she shared 64 years of marriage.
Ann was born on January 8, 1935 in Southbridge, MA, daughter of the late Leo and Marianna (Yvonne) Gaumond.
Ann lived in Plainville and Bristol. She graduated from Plainville High School. Ann worked as a supervisor in general services for Bristol Hospital until retirement. After retirement, Ann and Francis moved to Beverly Hills, FL where they spent 26 years. They would spend their Winters in Florida and Summers in Connecticut with their family.
While in Florida Ann worked for 22 years at Beverly Hills surveillance dispatcher. She was a member of the Beverly Hills Fishing Club and a Eucharistic Minister for Our Lady of Grace. In Bristol, CT, she would attend St. Matthews Church.
Ann was very creative and had a love for crafts and ceramics. She was involved in a women's group in church that would crochet items for babies and kids. Throughout her life Ann made many beautiful quilts.
Ann was happiest when she was with her family and friends. Her home was always open for visitors. She loved to travel with her husband. They traveled to most of the Caribbean Islands, traveled thru Alaska by train and cruises and traveled to many other places throughout the years.
Ann leaves behind her son, William Murphy; daughter, Diane and her husband David; daughter, Gail Ciervo and her husband Mark; and her grandchildren, Heather, Morgan and Rachel. She is predeceased by her husband, Francis Murphy Jr. and granddaughter Ashley Blake.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the loving and caring staff at Ingraham Manor who had helped and cared for their Mom. And a very special thank you to Ann's aide, Rita and her nurse, Josephine, who were always there by her side and would go above and beyond to make sure Ann was happy. The family is truly grateful for making sure their mom was taken care of.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, October 8 from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM at the Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad Street in Plainville, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave, Bristol, CT. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Plainville, CT.
