PLAINVILLE - Christian Nielson, 86, passed away on June 12, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Madeline (Alink) Nielson.
Christian was born in Middletown on September 9, 1936, son of the late Christy and Eleanor (Carswell) Nielson. Prior to retiring, he was a mechanical engineer working at B & L Tool in Plainville.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Lorrie Gehlbach and her husband Bradley of Grafton, MA; a son Matthew Nielson and his wife, Michelle of Dartmouth, MA; three grandchildren Harrison Gehlbach, Lauren Nielson, and Owen Nielson; and a sister Esther Blair of Cromwell, CT.
At Christian's request all services are private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Peacedale Cemetery in Bristol.
Memorial donations may be made in Christian's name to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 154 Meadow St., Bristol, CT 06010 or the charity of your choice.
