Doris Lorraine Stevens

Doris Stevens, 91, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2023, surrounded by family in Amherst, MA. She was the loving wife of Burton Stevens for 67 years. 

Doris was born on July 18, 1932 in Newport, RI to the late Col. Alcide Desrochers and Lucille Dugay. She loved dancing, sewing, and crafts, but thrived on her devotion to family and friends throughout her life.

Doris is survived by her husband, Burton; daughter, Dori-Lynn Groom; son, George Stevens; three grandchildren, Johnathan, Vienna and Christopher; and 4 great grandchildren, Aliandra, Anthony, Hannah and Joshua. 

Visitation services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 9 to 11am at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad Street, Plainville, CT 06062, followed by a graveside committal at 11:30am at Peacedale Cemetery located at 115-199 James P Casey Rd, Bristol, CT 06010.
