Eleanor Chamberlain, 98, departed this life on Monday, December 21 at home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late John (Jack) Chamberlain. Eleanor was born in New Haven, CT on June 28, 1922 to the late Paul Jaeckel and Ida (Kerstein) Jaeckel.
Eleanor was an avid bird watcher and liked doing puzzles. She enjoyed taking long walks and being out in nature.
Eleanor is survived by her son John and his wife Joanne, two daughters Ellen and Andrea; grand-daughters Harmony and her husband Jack and Constance; four great grand children Devin, Kyle, Ashley and Catalina. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Evelyn and Nesbeth and grand-daughter Tracy.
Due to the current health crisis, a private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at the family plot in Fair Haven. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
