Eugenia Corriea Taveres Pires

Eugenia C. Pires, 94, passed away on January 24, 2021. She was the loving wife of the late Antonio Jose Pires.

She was born born in Brava on November 14, 1927 and resided in Cape Verde Island, before coming to America.

Eugenia is survived by her Loving son, Jean Pierre Pires, of Plainville, and his long time partner. She is survived by three daughters and five grandchildren as well as many family members and friends, who she truly loved and love her. She is also survived by her three furry babies she so adored, Samson, Galiath, and Korbel. Eugenia was predeceased by her three young sons.

She had many hobbies, such as sewing, crafts, crocheting, gardening, and so much more. She won an award, she was very proud of which read:

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Fr. Raymond Smialowski on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Plainville. Interment followed in West Cemetery in Plainville. The Bailey Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. It is suggested that contributions in her memory be directed to: St. Jude Children's Hospital.
