Georgina Frances Weber

MASSACHUSETTS - Georgina Frances Weber (Gina), 64.

It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend Gina Weber.  Born December 5, 1957 in Meriden, CT, Gina was the daughter of Edith (Lane) Weber and the late Gerald George Weber. Gina was a lifelong resident of Wallingford, CT, though at times, work called her to many other places around the globe. 

Gina grew up in Wallingford, CT and attended local schools.  She was a part of the Saint Paul's Episcopal Church community and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She attended St. Vincent's Medical Center and Sacred Heart University in Bridgeport, CT where she received her degree in nursing. She worked as a RN at Yale New Haven Hospital and Hartford Hospital where she specialized in neo-natal care.  Gina returned to school at Central Connecticut State University and received her teaching degree and graduated summa cum laude. She furthered her education by attending Boston College and received her certificate as a Clinical Research Associate where she became a consultant to many pharmaceutical companies in the U.S., Europe and Africa.

Gina enjoyed trips to the bookstore, traveling, sipping her favorite drink at Starbucks, and listening to show tunes. Her greatest passion was her family, and she would routinely spend time checking-in with them multiple times per day.

Gina was greatly endeared by her family, friends and colleagues. She was the "doting aunt" that never tired of her nephews and niece and treated them (and their friends) as her own. She was their biggest advocate for all their hopes and dreams and made sure to share incredible adventures with each of them. She also loved her brother's dogs and showered them with as much love as her human family.

She leaves behind her mother Edith; her brother Kurt and sister-in-law Trish Weber; her godson/nephew Brock Weber, his wife Jessica and their son James; her nephew Jake and niece Mackenzie; her aunt Nancy and several cousins.

There will be no services. Gina will be laid to rest at In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford, CT at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gina's memory to the American Diabetes Association or Hartford Hospital's Connecticut Children's Foundation. Gina's family thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. The B.C.
