WALLINGFORD - Harvey E. Naeser Jr., 99, beloved husband of the late Rudelle Naeser, was called to his eternal resting place on December 4, 2020.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 2, 1921, a son to the late Harvey E. Naeser Sr & Mary Louise (Staving) Naeser. Harvey served his country as a veteran of World War II, Korea, and Viet Nam serving in the U.S. Navy for 22 years. He was stationed in the South Pacific and both the East and West Coast duty stations. Harvey worked at Sikorsky Aircraft in the area of training from 1964 until he retired in 1985. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Yalesville, was a dual member of Solomon Lodge #20 AF &AM in Stratford, Jerusalem Council of the Scottish Rite in F, Knights Templar Chapter #16 of Stratford, Baldwin Chapter #13 R.A.M. in Stratford, Hamilton Commandry #5 of Stratford and Morocco Temple Shrine of Jacksonville, FL. He was also a member of the Fleet Reserve Association. Harvey was a dedicated Mason for over 75 years as well a Shriner for over 50 years. Later in life, he enjoyed traveling the world and spending time with his family.
Harvey is survived by his three loving children: Harvey E Naeser (Linda), III, Timothy A. Naeser (Rosemarie) and Kimberly E. Shoemaker. He will also be cherished in the memories of his six grandchildren: Sherri L. Craver, Amy E. Collette, William H. Naeser, Matthew H. Naeser, Daniel H. Shoemaker, Sarah A. Shoemaker as well as his two great-grandchildren: Logan B. Craver and Jacob B. Craver.
A funeral service for Harvey will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harvey's name may be made to The Shriner's Hospital for Children, www.shrinershospitalforchildren.org. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with arrangements.
