WALLINGFORD- Jack L. Barbera Sr., 77, was called home unexpectedly on June 29, 2021 in Wallingford. Jack was born in Meriden, CT on May 23, 1944 to the late Sal and Frances (Benard) Barbera.
A lifelong resident of Wallingford, Jack attended Lyman Hall High School. Shortly after high school Jack worked as a mechanic at Arco and then began his longtime career as a dedicated employee of Pfizer/Ametek for almost 50 years as a senior maintenance equipment mechanic. He was an avid motorcycle rider and belonged to the Wallingford Police Auxiliary, The Blue Nights, the Interstate Police Officers Assoc. and The Wallingford Elks Club.
Jack is survived by his two daughters Annette and Dawn Barbera; his son Jack (Madeline) Barbera Jr.; son Robert (Deborah) Barbera, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was predeceased by his two brothers John and Frank Barbera.
A funeral service will be held on Friday July 9, 2021 at 7pm at B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 4pm to 7pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
