PLAINVILLE - Jacqueline Rose Roy, 81, passed away on October 26, 2021, after a long illness.

"Jackie" was born on August 5, 1940 in Fort Kent, Maine to the late Willie Roy and Rose Roy.

Jackie married her loving husband Russell Roy of Van Buren, Maine and moved to Connecticut-living in New Britain before residing in their forever home in Plainville where she raised her family-son Robert Roy and daughter Debbie Roy-Stonehill. She lived her life for her grandchildren-Robert and Christopher Roy of Bristol and Alex and Katy Jeney of Plainville. Her last blessing was granted with the birth of her Great Grandson Declan Roy-

She is survived by her sister Gladys Dufour of Bristol and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Doris and her husband Edgar Pinette, her sister Rena and her husband Norman Madore, brother Joel Roy, and brother Richard Roy and his wife Paulette and her brother Clarence Roy.

Jackie's joy was being the best grandmother "Mere" that she could be. She asked for one thing-Time together! She did not ask for gifts at Christmas-she asked only that her family be together. She loved each grandchild and her children unconditionally and wished only that each find joy and happiness.

We will always recall the family vacations and numerous weekends at the campground-where she made sure we all had endless golf cart rides, burgers and nights by the fire. She also enjoyed countless trips to the casino and Bingo nights- She loved her dabber buddies-

A Graveside service for Jackie will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas Cemetery in Southington. Attendees are asked to meet at the cemetery.
