Jeanette King, age 88, passed away on July 9, 2021 at her home. She was the loving wife of the late Thomas W. King.
Jeanette loved when it was springtime and gardening began and she'd watch her flowers bloom and her vegetables grow. Jeanette loved doing her puzzle books and talking with friends and family on the phone. Jeanette's favorite hobby although was eating and watching her game shows and soap operas on television! Jeanette loved traveling and has seen many parts of the world thanks to her sister Joan Lewandowski and Chet Lewandowski and her loving daughter Donna King. Jeanette also loved the beach on a hot summer day.
Jeanette was born in Norwich, on March 27, 1933 to the late James and Marie (Germain) McGregor.
Jeanette will be treasured in the memories of her daughter, Donna King of New Hartford, and beloved baby, Scott King of New Haven. She's also survived by an elder son Wayne King. She will always be remembered fondly by her brother in law Chet Lewandowski, goddaughter Ann Cote, her niece Karen Lewandowski, her nephew Steven Lewandowski and his spouse Brenda Trout . Great nephew, Jordan Cote and great niece Jillian Lewandowski.
She leaves behind her only grandson Julian King and her daughter-in-law Debra King. And her most beloved treasured cat, Samantha. Jeanette will be missed by many more friends and family. She was pre deceased by her mother Marie McGregor and her father James McGregor. She lost her much adored loving sister Joan Lewandowski; her goddaughter's precious husband Scott Cote, brother-in-laws Raymond King, Don King, Ronald king, Norman King, Robert king, and David France and her sister in law Rita France. Uncle Edward Jermaine who gave her many laughs, and her aunt Maybel and uncle Harvey Lobner.
Jeanette worked for well over 30 years for Bristol Spring Corporation in Plainville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Plainville. Her family will receive visitors on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St., Plainville. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Plainville.
