Judith Ann Merrill

Merrill, Judith Ann, “Judy”, age 77, of Wethersfield, CT, passed away at her home on March 10, 2024. Originally from Houston, TX, she graduated from Nolan High School in 1964. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rice University in 1968, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut in 1971. For over 24 years, she served as the Assistant Attorney General for the State of Connecticut.

Judy was known for having an extraordinary intellect and was an avid reader, rarely seen without a book in her hands. She was also a competitive bridge player, having won many bridge tournaments and achieving the Life Master status many times.

She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Peg Merrill, and her brother, William “Bill” Merrill (Mary-Eliese). She is survived by her five sisters, Katherine “Kit” McMurray (John), Lisa Pitman (Bob), Jamie Stone (Jeff), Marydell Merrill, Siobbon Merrill, nephew Oliver Merrill, niece Emma Rivera, and many other nieces and nephews.
