PLAINVILLE - Kim Marie (Pyzynski) Romano, 54, of Plainville, CT, peacefully departed this life surrounded by family on August 9, 2023. She is the daughter of Edward and the late Florence (Shilosky) Pyzynski.
Kim's childhood was filled with joyful memories as she pedaled her yellow bike around the neighborhood with her childhood friends. She relished the simple pleasures of hanging out, playing kickball, and swimming in her pool with her dear friends during the summer months. Kim's love for spending time with her girlfriends was evident in the special bond they shared.
One of her treasured adventures included biking with her close friend Jeanette up to Pinnacle, where they would explore and take in the scenic beauty. Though she was often quiet and shy, Kim's companionship and spirit left a lasting impact on those around her.
As she entered her teenage years, Kim's enthusiasm for shopping blossomed, and she enjoyed countless shopping trips to Westfarms Mall. Her interest in fashion, makeup, and hair flourished during high school, where she showcased her artistic talents in her involvement with art classes.
Kim attended Wheeler Elementary School and graduated from Plainville High School in 1987. Her journey of love and companionship took a significant turn when she married Ron Romano on March 20, 1992. Their union was blessed with two children, Taylor and Ashley, who were the embodiments of the love they shared.
Kim's professional journey began as a young girl at MicroCare Chemical Corporation, where she joined her mother, Florence, as a part-time employee. Demonstrating her abilities and dependability, she transitioned into an assembly technician role and contributed to the growth of the company. Throughout the company's evolution, she adapted to various roles and responsibilities, from working on the filling line to managing customer service, embodying the spirit of a true multitasker.
Outside of her professional life, Kim was a creative force who enjoyed decorating her home with meticulous attention to detail. Her passion extended to jewelry making, where she poured her heart into crafting unique and meaningful pieces. Her family and loved ones always came first, and her unwavering support, comfort, and love were present in every moment shared.
Kim's contagious laugh and radiant smile brightened the lives of everyone around her. She found joy in life's simplest pleasures, from the beauty of flowers to the wonder of a sunset. Her humility, kindness, and quirky nature made her a source of inspiration and delight. Her creative spirit shone through in her art, jewelry, and home decorations, leaving a trail of beauty and warmth.
Her legacy lives on through her loving husband, Ron, and their two adult children, Taylor and Ashley. Kim's indomitable spirit, courage, and capacity to cherish the small moments will forever be remembered by her family. She instilled in them the strength to navigate life's challenges and the appreciation for life's simple pleasures.

Kim is predeceased by her mother, Florence Pyzynski; and her brother, Jeffrey Pyzynski.
She is survived by her father, Edward Pyzynski; loving husband, Ronald Romano; adoring children, Taylor and Ashley Romano; nieces and nephews, Sarah Pyzynski, Krissie Dennis, Hannah Romano, Spencer Romano, Raquel Afragola, Jake Romano, Morgan Savager, Zachary Romano, and Alyssa Romano; cousin, Ruth Schular; and dear friends, Jeanette Belanger, Tina Ferro, Enzo Ferro, Jeannine Bartlett, and Heather Gombos.
Friends and family are welcome to gather for a Visitation on Wednesday, August 16th from 5-7pm at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St. in Plainville. Bailey Funeral Home is honored to have been entrusted with Kim’s care and final arrangements.
