Linda L. Manthay

MIDDLETOWN - Linda Manthay, 79, departed this life on October 9, 2023, at home. She was the beloved wife of 27 years to Bob Manthay. Linda was born in Helena, MT on December 9, 1943, to the late James and Ida (Wright) Norris.

Linda and her family lived in various states before settling in Connecticut.  She worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Infra-Metals and as a hobby, she collected unique dolls.  Her collection totaled over 500 in her lifetime. Linda was a lover of birds, especially cardinals and she always enjoyed doing her crossword puzzles. She was kindhearted and always had a smile to brighten someone’s day.

In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by her son David Yoder and his wife Gay as well as her grandson Kurt Yoder and his wife Anna.  She also leaves behind her great-granddaughter Juliet and her sister Donna Jean Cook. Besides her parents, Linda is predeceased by her brother Charles Norris.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church located at 235 Pond Hill Road in Wallingford followed by interment at the CT State Veterans’ Cemetery in Middletown.
