Marcia Clair Masnato

WALLINGFORD - Marcia Rancourt Masnato, 78, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Born in Meriden to the late Gerard and Eleanor Rancourt, Marcia graduated from Meriden High School, class of 1956, and later the E.C. Goodwin Technical School in New Britain. Marcia was a resident of Wallingford for over 50 years, and was a hairdresser in the Meriden and Wallingford area.
Marcia leaves her husband, John Masnato, and her three children: Patricia Masnato of Meriden, John (Rhonda) Masnato, Jr. of North Haven, and David (Barbara) Masnato of Wallingford. Marcia also leaves her beloved grandson Michael Masnato, and she was "Grandma" to Nicholas, Brianna, and Nathan Irish. Marcia leaves one sister, Lois Shelton, of GA, and brothers Chip Rancourt of AZ, and Keith Rancourt of Meriden. She will also be leaving many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home has been entrusted with her final arrangements. Relatives and friends can call on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street, Wallingford. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home immediately following. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Marcia's family would like to thank her cousins and best friends, Karen Augur and Kim Yother, as well as the caring professionals at the Smilow Cancer Center.
