Marie Anne (Marion) (Doucette) Bouchard, 96, of Bristol, widow of Clifford Bouchard, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Bristol Hospital.
Born on June 2, 1921 in Lyster, Quebec, Canada, she moved with her family to the Plainville-Bristol area when she was 14, where she resided ever since. She worked and retired from Fafnir Bearing Company after over 45 years of employment.
She was predeceased by her sister, Reah Abramczyk, of Plainville and survived by her sister-in-law, Jean Bouchard, of Canton, and over 25 devoted nieces and nephews. In addition, she leaves behind many, many great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Marie Anne embraced life, traveled to Hawaii, the Carribean, and Europe, played bingo, loved animals, birds and spending time with family and friends. Her family would like to thank Angela Haughton of Companions & Homemakers, Farmington office for her incredible care, dedication, and compassion.
A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, May 7 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad St., Plainville. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to gather at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St., Plainville between 9 and 10:30 AM prior to mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marie Anne’s name may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad St., Plainville, CT 06062.
