MaryEllen Doolittle Tribute

WALLINGFORD - MaryEllen Doolittle passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, May 2, 2016.
Born February 3, 1940, daughter of Leon and Mary O'Connor (Turnbull). Loving wife for 58 years to Donald Doolittle. Survived by devoted sons and daughter-in-laws; David (Rose) of Middletown, and Dennis (Sue) of Wallingford. Proud grandmother of Emily, Cassidy, Alison, Rider, and Adam Doolittle who were the delights of her life. Also survived by her loving sister Denise of NJ, a brother Curtis of Branford, and a brother Leon.
MaryEllen retired from Bristol-Myers as an Executive Secretary. She considered herself most fortunate to have traveled to 26 countries and 41 states with her husband at her side. MaryEllen was a most extraordinary quilter and enjoyed meeting and traveling with her quilting buds. The family would like to thank Dr. Gerald Fumo and his entire oncology staff along with Dr. Jean Wong. Thank you to Priscilla Perin for all of your help, and also a special thanks to Kathy Barta who was always at her side.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street in Wallingford. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow at St. John's Cemetery in Wallingford.
