SOUTHINGTON / PLAINVILLE - Michael A. DeAngelo, 77, of Southington, formerly of Plainville, passed away on July 25, 2022, at Bristol Hospital. He was the loving Husband of Rachael DeAngelo with whom he shared 34 beautiful years.
Michael was born on July 14, 1945, in New Britain, CT to the late Louis DeAngelo and Susan (Petrucci) DeAngelo. He graduated from Plainville High School in 1963 and immediately went to work for Five Star in Plantsville. He did work for Quality Coils, Don DeAngelo Construction, and DeAngelo Trucking Company over the years, ultimately retiring from Mastrobattisto Construction, Inc. of Bristol.
Michael was very patriotic and loved his country. He served proudly in the United States Army National Guard for 6 years until his honorable discharge. Michael always said, “When it comes to classmates and cousins, I’m there”. He loved people, and social gatherings and connecting with friends and loved ones are where he derived the most joy. He spent much of his free time caring for his home, yard, vehicles, and machines. He liked Jazz, Blues, Golden Oldies, and the music of Frank Sinatra and was known for making the best spaghetti sauce around. Michael will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michael is survived by his wife Rachael S. DeAngelo, beloved kitty Salem, and many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
