WALLINGFORD - Raymond Bellemare, 70, departed this life on July 28, 2019 after a long illness.
Raymond was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on April 26, 1949 to the late William and Marcelle (Plaisance) Bellemare. Ray the bartender as he was known, loved to play cards and could be found at BPOE #1365, where he was a 20-year plus member, playing most mornings. He had a joke for every day and any occasion. He enjoyed movies; especially crime dramas and westerns, as well as watching the NFL. Ray was the first quarterback in Watertown High School football history. He also attended UCONN.
Raymond is survived by his sons: Jeff and Marc, four beloved grandchildren: Jesse, Jacob, Brooklyn, and August, as well as his brother Richard and sister Lorraine and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Robert.
There will be no calling hours and all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to New England Donor Services, at neds.org. The B.C.
