BRANFORD - Reverend Dr. Richard Clinton Diehl, age 87, formerly of Wallingford, CT died on January 13, 2023. Born June 2nd 1935 in York, PA, Richard was a son of the late Ralph E. Diehl and Anna (Danner) Diehl. Reverend Dr. Diehl served in the US Army during the Korean War. Rev. Diehl was a devoted alumnus of his alma maters, Heidelberg College, Andover-Newton Seminary School and Hartford Seminary. He was a minister, servicing churches in Connecticut for more than forty years. Reverend Dr. Richard Diehl was predeceased by his wives Sandra Marks Diehl and Mary Frances Whitney Diehl. Richard loved to play basketball, fish and grow roses.
