Ronald Bonito Tribute

WALLINGFORD- Ronald Bonito died peacefully in the arms of his loving wife, September 17th 2021. Ron was born on September 04, 1948 to the late Salvatore and Geneva Bonito. He was a graduate of Eli Whitney. Ron was enjoying a well deserved retirement in which he had a successful career as part owner of "Alpha Q" in Colchester, CT.

Ron was the beloved husband of Debra S Bonito and proud and devoted grandfather of Bailey Bonito and Cody D'Orazio. He also leaves his daughter in-law Melissa Bonito. He was predeceased by his son Brady M. Bonito, both his parents, Salvatore and Geneva Bonito, his two bothers Salvatore and Robert Bonito as well as his in-laws, Irving and Elizabeth Mitchell. Ron had a bigger than life personality. He used his charm, wit and charisma to win the heart of his soul mate Debra. They married in 1976. His wife Debra had a young son, Brady, whom Ron quickly adopted as his own. Brady couldn't have asked for a more loyal or dedicated father than Ron. Brady had learned from the best because it was no surprise when Brady seamlessly adapted into the role of step father himself.

Ron enjoyed many hobbies such as golfing, photography and technology. He was always proud to show off his latest gadgets. Ron will be remembered most for his compassion, selflessness and dedication to his loved ones. The light of his life was his granddaughter, Bailey. Ron played a unique role in her life acting as both grandfather and father after the loss of her own father. He was a true patriarch in which he acted as a protector, a source of knowledge and wisdom, and a pillar of strength. Ron was a man who would give you the shirt off his back. You could call him day or night with a problem and no matter how big or small he would be right there to help solve it. Ron had been many different things to many different people but above all he was a good man. We are all better off because we've had the honor to know and love him.
