Ruby Hazeline (Harrison) Heilman

WALLINGFORD – Ruby H. Heilman, 96, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the Complete Care Center of Meriden. She was the loving wife of the late Frank J. Heilman.
 
Ruby was born in Sewanee, TN on April 7, 1927, the daughter of the late Hays and Elenora Garner Harrison. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Wallingford and had volunteered for the American Red Cross and Wallingford Public Library for many years.
 
Ruby is survived by her son, Gene Heilman of North Haven and her daughters, Cheryl Heilman and Mary Lynn Connelly-Sawicki (Edmund) of Wallingford.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren Douglas Jr. and Robert Connelly, Danielle Mosier (Charlie), Andrew (Nikki), and Nicole Heilman, along with three great-grandchildren Douglas Connelly III, Logan Christopher Heilman and Kye Matthew Heilman. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by son Steven Christopher Heilman.
 
A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 11:00am at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford.  Burial will immediately follow at In Memoriam Cemetery. Relatives and friends may attend a visitation Monday morning from 9:000AM to 11:00AM.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruby’s name to the First Congregational Church of Wallingford, 23 S.
