Russell Bauchman Tribute
MERIDEN - Russell A. Bauchman, 76, departed this life on August 16, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury.
He was born November 23, 1934, a son of the late Frank and Hazel (Bowen) Bauchman.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he had managed service departments at automotive dealerships throughout the state. In his spare time he had drummed with the St. Peter's Fife and Drum Corps and had toured throughout the U.S. and Europe. He also enjoyed country line dancing. Russell was also a member of the Elks Club
He will be sadly missed by his son, John Bauchman and his wife Tonya of Florida; his daughters, Jodi Ehler and her husband Kurt of New Hampshire and Heather Searcy and her husband Jeremy of Florida; and his grandchildren Brianna, Devon, Noah, Destiny, Dillon, Devon and Malone.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 9:30 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, on the corner of Hanover and Cook Streets, Meriden. Interment will be on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery, Bow Lane, Middletown. Contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of one's choice. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with the arrangements.
