Ruth Alice Oros

WALLINGFORD - Ruth A. Oros, 91, was called to her eternal resting place on November 23, 2016. She entered this world on October 25, 1925 in New Britain, CT, born to Augusta Wilk Hoff and Albert Hoff. She was the loving wife of 55 years to the late John J. Oros.
She is lovingly survived by her two daughters: Doreen Freeman (Mark Freeman Sr.) and Sandra Boisvert (Kenneth Boisvert). In addition to her daughters, Ruth is survived by her grandchildren: Jaryd Boisvert (Kelli), Corrine Boisvert, Mark Freeman Jr. (Susan) and Maureen Freeman Kos (David); two sisters: Dorothy Jarboe and Lydia Ceritto; by one brother, Howard Hoff, and her brother in law, Richard Oros. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Zoey Boisvert, Molly Freeman, Julia Freeman, Jane Kos and Andrew Kos, and many nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by two brothers: Albert Hoff Sr. and Robert Hoff; and by one sister: Eleanor Oberempt.
Ruth enjoyed many of life's little pleasures, especially reading books. She was a life-long active member and volunteered for many functions at her church. However, her biggest joy in life was her family and making a loving home for them. Her happiness also came from being married to her best friend.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 235 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford. Family and friends may gather for calling hours on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 5PM - 8PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street, Wallingford.
