Steven Pietrowicz Tribute

PLAINVILLE - On October 1st, 2022, Steven Pietrowicz, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend passed away unexpectedly at the age of 63.  Steven was born on August 4th, 1959 to William and Gladys Pietrowicz.  He was raised in Plainville, CT along with his two siblings William Pietrowicz of New Britain, CT & Susan Pinkham of Colchester, CT.  Steve lived his entire life in Plainville, a town he loved and where he had many friends.  By trade, he spent his life as a machinist, taking much pride in his work and known for his work ethic.  Most recently working at Integrity MFG where he had many close friendships.  His work ethic was passed along to his daughters Christine Pietrowicz-Joanis of Montclair, NJ and Katie Martineau of Harwinton, CT.

Steven was an avid hunter and fisherman, a member of the Plainville Fish and Game Club and NRA. Steve's love for fishing was passed down to one of his granddaughters, Brooke Martineau whom he lovingly called Brooke Trout. Most of all, he enjoyed being outdoors and had a heart for all animals. Steven also had a passion for gardening and cooking and was known for his legendary tomato plants, hot peppers, homemade salsa and always loved to try new recipes. He always went above and beyond in anything he did and always did it well.  His favorite prayer, the Serenity Prayer, was a prayer he relied upon and fiercely tried to hold onto.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, William & Gladys Pietrowicz, his sister-in-law Maureen Pietrowicz and his ex-wife Katherine(Gonska) Pietrowicz.  He is survived by his children Christine (Benedict) Joanis, Katie (Chad) Martineau & Emily Pietrowicz, his siblings William Pietrowicz, Susan (Gary) Pinkham. His three granddaughters Lillian & Brooke Martineau, Annabelle Joanis, his nieces Erin Pietrowicz & Olivia (Dave) Levesque and his former wife Valerie Pietrowicz.  He also leaves behind many cousins, friends, and co-workers for which he cared deeply for.
