Theresa Josephine Dixey

PLAINVILLE - Theresa Josephine Dixey, 90, passed away peacefully at her home on September 27, 2023.

Theresa was born on April 3, 1933 in Franklin, NH, a daughter to the late Ralph & Irene (Clouette) Trottier.  She was the beloved wife of 42 years to the late Richard B. Dixey. 

Theresa worked for New Britain General Hospital for over 25 years in the Public Affairs Department.  She wrote many articles regarding the goings on within the hospital. Theresa enjoyed gardening and had an affinity for cats. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing her daily crossword puzzles.  Perhaps her greatest serenity was the beach, particularly Cape Cod, where she vacationed often.

Theresa is survived by her daughter, Carol Conroy and her husband Michael of Sandwich, MA, and a brother, Dr. Ralph Trottier Jr., of Stone Mountain, GA.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews.  A memorial service will be held for Theresa on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad Street, Plainville.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Theresa's name to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd, Newington, CT 06111, https://cthumane.org.  To leave a message of remembrance, please visit www.BaileyCares.com.
