William R. Naples, Sr.

William R. Naples Sr., age 92 of Bristol, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at Ingraham Manor in Bristol CT. William was the loving husband of the late Angeline (Aparo) Naples for 68 years.

William was born on January 26th, 1929 in New Britain, CT, to the late Francisco and Lugia (Prisco) Napolitano. Also known as Bill, William served in the United States Army, playing for the US Army Band. To know Bill is to know his passion for jazz music. The second love of his life after his family was his saxophone. Bill began playing his beloved instrument as a young boy and went on to make music with various bands throughout his life. He was a proud member of Bristol's Senior 8th Notes and enjoyed performing with them every Tuesday at The Bristol Senior Center. Alongside his music, Bill worked for 25 years as a milkman and manager for Guida's Seibert Dairy. He also spent 15 years working as an expeditor for Pratt & Whitney. 

William is survived by his four children and their spouses, Lucille and Norman Dubois of Bristol CT., William R. (Jr) and Karen Naples, of Ellenton FL, Thomas and Kathy Naples of Pahrump NV and Cynthia and Wayne Cyr of Wolcott CT; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Jay and Carrie Dubois, Danielle and Doug Lamothe, Jeffrey Naples, Tom Naples Jr., Michael Lehmann, Matthew and Kelly Irizarry, and Brooke Cyr; as well as four great grandchildren, Alana and Grace Dubois, Brianna and Mya Lamothe, and many nieces and nephews. William is predeceased by his two brothers Angelo Napolitano and Donald Napolitano as well as his grandson, Steven T. Cyr. 

The family would like to thank Simple Home Care Solutions and his nurse Kiera Ramirez for taking such good care of him which enabled him to stay home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 29, 2021, at St. Matthews Church, 120 Church Ave in Bristol. Mass will be streamed live at https://stmatthewrcc.com for those who are unable to attend. A walk through visitation will be held from 9:30 - 10:30 AM on Monday, March 29, 2021, at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St. in Plainville. Burial and a Celebration of William's life will take place at la later date.
